Ethics Etc. readers may be interested to hear that the new Centre for Ethics and Metaethics (CEM) in the Philosophy Department, University of Leeds, is holding a Metaethics One-Day Workshop on Saturday 24 November. The speakers will be Kent Hurtig, Nadeem Hussain, and Wlodek Rabinowicz.

The workshop will take place in the IDEA CETL building on Fenton Street.

Details of the event are given as follows:

11.00-11.30: Registration
11.30-12.30: Catered brunch
12.30-2.00: Wlodek Rabinowicz (Lund): ‘Incommensurability and Vagueness’
2.00-2.30: Coffee break
2.30-4.00: Kent Hurtig (Stirling): ‘The Normativity of Rationality’
4.30-5.00: Coffee break
5.00-6.30: Nadeem Hussain (Stanford): ‘Metaethics and Constructivism’
7.30: Dinner

The registration fee is £20 (or £10 for students). The fee includes brunch and coffee, but not the dinner (though delegates are very welcome to come along to the dinner).
