Boghossian on Moral Relativism
By S. Matthew Liao

Here is an insightful piece on moral relativism in the New York Times by Paul Boghossian, Silver Professor of Philosophy at New York University. Definitely worth the read.

There’s also a discussion on Boghossian’s piece at the NewAPPS blog

I suspect that all moral criticisms express something like “we can’t live like this,” as in, “this is antisocial, we can’t coexist with this behavior” or just “I feel gross about this.”

What are our options for separating crappy criticisms from legitimate ones?
